- Ethereum is a network of computers all over the world that follow a set of rules called the Ethereum protocol. The Ethereum network acts as the foundation for communities, applications, organizations and digital assets that anyone can build and use. With Confirmo, you can accept payments through this network in its native currency – ether, or ETH.When paying, your customer inputs a wallet address, and the amount of ETH to send, and Confirmo invoices make this a breeze. The transaction is then broadcasted to the network’s validators. Once confirmed, the recipient can access the funds, and the transaction becomes irreversible.
- The main goal of layer 2 is to increase transaction throughput (higher transactions per second) without sacrificing decentralization or security. The Ethereum blockchain is only able to process roughly 15 transactions per second. When demand to use Ethereum is high, the network becomes congested, which increases transaction fees and prices out users who cannot afford those fees. Layer 2s are solutions that reduce those fees by processing transactions off the layer-1 blockchain. These include ArbitrumOptimism and Polygon.
- Although the EVM is a technological revolution of its own, its native payment tools are rather rudimentary. A crypto payment gateway offers a streamlined and user-friendly payment processing tool that makes the payment experience as seamless as card payments. On top of that, Confirmo offers advanced features: automatic conversions, safe & secure custody, and comprehensive accounting to maximize the convenience of implementing Ethereum payments in your business.
- Yes, Confirmo supports the top cryptocurrencies, stablecoins and networks. If you change your mind in the future, you can simply edit your preferences in your dashboard.
